Hello, I am Sharon DeMattia

I am an invitation to the curious.

I am a dragon rider, an invitation to the curious, and most alive within wild spaces full of creative collaboration.

I am an artist and scientist. I live at the edge of an event horizon, where stillness isn’t still at all. I thrive in uncertainty, I am driven by curiosity, and stabilized within the tension between what was, what is, and what is becoming.

My work invites us to remember ourselves as part of living systems: multi-dimensional puzzles and patterns, shaped by stimulus and response, ever-changing in their search for dynamic equilibrium. My media is collaborative, canvases evolve into large-scale sculptures and interactive platforms where abstract concepts can crystallize into concrete awareness.

Raised by science and born of art, I earned my MS from the University of Colorado, Boulder in Kinesiology and Applied Physiology and worked within the Integrative Vascular Biology Lab conducting invasive human subjects research. As my understanding of inquiry, methodology, and measurement deepened, so too did my awareness of the fragility and limitation of solely adhering to linear processes and predictive models. When we only measure, we tend to miss the meaning; thus causing ecosystems to collapse into themselves from lack of relational cohesion.

As co-creator of The Diamond Field and founder of The Human Innerface, I continue to evolve as invitation and guide—one that develops & values the invisible, the space between body and field, self and other. My design language is an integration of Indigenous Wisdom, Systems theory, somatic intelligence, vibrational cosmology, and tech-critical consciousness, and spiritual humility.

My work translates relational complexity into embodied experience, awakening coherence, connection, and creative agency.
